So, November. How do you feel about that? I’ve got mixed feelings. I’m glad this particular year is almost over but, as with each year, I’m sad this year is almost over.
As mentioned in my previous posts, I am a little frustrated with my lack of drawing ability so for November I decided to breakout my stamps. I decided to keep this particular month simple-ish. I did hand letter the NOVEMBER on the cover page and used 3 different colors of Crayola Super Tip markers to color it in.
This time, I thought I would try my Daisy White ink pad from Close to my Heart. Well, it worked meh. But look closely and you will see another oops - my stamps from the following week are really starting to show through. Double ugh!
I love the stamped leaves. I love the 4 different colors. I don’t love that the two darkest colors are bleeding through the paper. I tried a couple of different pens to write the date on these and didn’t hav much luck with that either. Not thought through at all.
I haven’t decided what I’m going to do on the FREE page in the above photo but you can see the rest of the month is pretty much the same - stamp ghosted/bled through, ink on stamped image for date doesn’t show up. Ugh! BUT, I do love the color scheme. And it was so pretty in my head!!!
I hate it when something works out like that - better in my head than in reality. But I’m learning to roll with it. I’m not perfect.
Until next time,
